EXPONENT NRG

Reduce Diesel Dependence

Compare selected generator duties with solar, batteries and an integrated backup strategy.

FROM REQUIREMENT TO DELIVERY

  1. Define the business challenge
  2. Compare relevant solutions
  3. Review the technical case
  4. Assess the site and economics
  5. Discuss project delivery

Relevant solution paths

Industrial Backup Power

Separate essential processes from deferrable demand, then coordinate storage, generators and controls to meet the required continuity level.

Energy Storage / BESS

Start with critical load, outage duration and operating consequences. Select the architecture and battery technology against that duty cycle.

Hybrid Power Systems

Define how each source operates in normal service, supply interruptions and extended outages, with clear load priorities and recovery rules.

Battery Backup Calculator

Enter your operating data to explore a preliminary scenario.
Assumptions and calculation method

AC energy = critical kW × hours. Battery nameplate = AC energy ÷ discharge efficiency ÷ usable depth of discharge ÷ retained capacity. Power allowance is a screening input, not a motor-starting or PCS rating guarantee. No solar or generator contribution is assumed. Transfer time, C-rate, reserve and thermal design require engineering.
